Mr. Brave was very brave. One day, Little Miss Bossy invited Mr. Brave to tea. “And don’t be late!” she shouted down the phone. On the way he stopped to save Mr. Messy who had been blown into the river by the wind. Miss Somersault then stopped him. She was sobbing since nobody wanted to play on her tightrope. She knew that Mr. Brave would join her. Mr. Brave did not want to be late for Little Miss Bossy but he took pity on Little Miss Somersault and climbed up the tightrope. Suddenly the rope started to snap. Mr. Brave started to panic. Miss Somersault carried him back safely to the ground. Mr. Brave was relieved that nobody knew that he was scared stiff. He didn’t think that he deserved to be called Mr. Brave. Unfortunately Little Miss Trouble happened to be passing and had seen everything. She called everybody and told them that Mr. Brave isn’t brave at all. She dared him to walk across the tightrope. Suddenly Mr. Brave said that he was going to be late for tea at Little Miss Bossy’s and ran off. Everybody started clapping and applauding Mr. Brave. Little Miss Trouble looked puzzled. They explained to her that anyone who turns up late for tea at Little Miss Bossy’s house is very brave!
