Mr Men Books | Mr Cheerful
Mr Cheerful was one of the most cheerful people who are ever likely to meet. However, he did have one secret that made him sad. A secret that nobody knew about. He only had three hairs on his entire head!
One day, Mr Cheerful went out for a walk and bumped into Miss Splendid. Mr. Cheerful did not raise his hat. Miss Splendid exclaimed, “How rude, don’t you know that you should raise your hat when you meet a lady!”. For the first time in his life Mr Cheerful lost his smile. And then he blushed, bright red. But he still did not raise his hat. Mr. cheerful explained to Miss Splendid that without his hat he isn’t very good looking since he only had three hairs on his head. Miss Splendid explained to Mr. Cheerful that it is his bright sunny smile that everyone loves not the hair on his head! He hasn’t stopped smiling ever since that day and always raises his hat to everyone he meets.
The moral of the story: even if there is something about us that isn’t so good there are always more important qualities that people will like!
