Mr. Happy lives in a country called Happyland. Everybody who lives in Happyland is happy including the flowers and animals!
One day Mr. Happy went for a walk when he came across a door in the trunk of a very tall tree. Mr. Happy opened the door and squeezed his rather large body through the thin doorway and began to walk down the stairs. Eventually, after a long time, he saw someone who looked exactly like Mr. Happy, except that he was miserable. Mr. Happy asked Mr. Miserable if he would like to be happy and Mr. Miserable said that he would give anything to be happy.  Mr. Happy asked Mr. Miserable to follow him and so he did. They both walked back to Mr. Happy’s cottage. Mr. Miserable stayed in Mr. Happy’s cottage for quite some time. And during that time his mouth stopped turning down at the corners! Eventually,  Mr. Miserable actually smiled and later even laughed for the first time in his life!

The moral of the story:

If you ever feel as miserable as Mr. Miserable then just turn your mouth up at the corners!
